FUNDRAISING ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Savvy Stephanie here with some announcements pertaining to some recent fundraising projects!

We have our wonderful cook books for sale! Each book is selling for $10.00! They are filled with recipes from yours truly as well as from volunteers, coordinators, and supporters of CWJC. You’ll find easy to make dinner, dessert, and appetizer recipes which are budget friendly and will have your taste buds jumping for joy! These will soon be available for purchase online or you can contact anyone of our representatives for purchasing information!

We also have our Christmas Donation Cards for sale as well. What better way to jump into the holiday spirit by giving the gift of giving! The cost to donate in honor of someone special is $25.00 per person. With each donation, the person you have made the donation in honor of will receive a beautiful, hand-crafted Christmas card with their name on it as well as yours!

Remember, donations are vital to the operation of our organization. CWJC cannot function without the support of the public being that we do not accept government grants/funding. We promote self sufficiency within our women therefore our organization thrives and operates through being self sufficient as well! No hypocrisy here! *Just a little bit about myself*

I’m currently a Human Services/Social Work intern with Christian Women’s Job Corps. I am an Old Dominion University student *GO MONARCHS!* who was brought to Wilmington due to the Coast Guard; I’ve been enjoying every moment of it! I have seen the great success that this organization has brought to the many women it has helped and I couldn’t be more proud. I am honored to work alongside such hard working, dedicated women and men that have built this organization from the ground up. It’s been a true blessing!

AMAZED

I am working as an intern for school with CWJC.  As I watch and participate in the different facets of this ministry to women, I am amazed at how God brings it all together using so many diversified individuals.  Each individual uses their gifts that God has given them to assist Him in making the ministry successful.

How do we measure success?  One of the ways I have measured it is in hearing one of the women talk about what the ministry has done for her and how she wants to give back by mentoring others.  To me that is success in action.  Then there is the excitement I have seen when women open their hearts to the Word and are excited to study and say that they had fun.  How many people do you know that call Bible Study fun? Most of us more than likely take Bible Study for granted.

As I continue beyond my internship with CWJC, I will seek to continue to see God at work in this ministry and be excited to see what He does and to do my best to be part of it with Him.
